Mission
To be the voice of the Valley while reflecting the richness, complexity, and promise of the communities we serve.
Fox Valley Review is an independent regional magazine dedicated to making the people, places, stories, ideas, and creative life of the Fox River Valley more visible.
Fox Valley Review exists to curate and elevate the voices, stories, events, and cultural expressions of the towns and communities along the Fox River. We strive to inform, inspire, and connect residents through thoughtful storytelling, critical reflection, and celebration of the local — from neighborhood events to regional art, food, education, and civic life.
To be the voice of the Valley while reflecting the richness, complexity, and promise of the communities we serve.
To help build a more connected, informed, and culturally vibrant Fox Valley where every town and resident can see themselves reflected in the stories we tell.
Our work is rooted in trust, creative freedom, public accountability, and a commitment to community-centered storytelling.
We value the trust of contributors, readers, and community partners. Personal information submitted through subscriptions, submissions, and inquiries is treated with confidentiality and handled according to ethical and legal standards.
Writers, artists, and commentators are free to explore a wide range of perspectives, experiences, and ideas within the bounds of respect, accuracy, and relevance to the Fox Valley community.
We believe in transparency and responsibility. We strive to maintain high standards of fact-checking, sourcing, and editorial integrity, and we acknowledge and correct mistakes promptly.
Fox Valley Review does not endorse political parties, candidates, or partisan agendas. Our focus is community storytelling, cultural coverage, civic awareness, and inclusive dialogue.
Our editorial universe is broad because regional life is broad: art, memory, business, education, food, sports, events, civic life, and the small human details that make a place feel alive.
Creative life, local artists, books, music, theater, design, and literary expression.
Neighbors, entrepreneurs, educators, athletes, writers, and community builders.
Restaurants, cafés, shops, makers, sponsors, and small businesses shaping local life.
Town features, seasonal gatherings, hidden gems, parks, trails, and regional destinations.
Schools, civic learning, public thought, local institutions, and reflective commentary.
Athlete stories, community pride, youth development, NIL features, and local excellence.
Thoughtful writing that connects local life to larger questions of identity and community.
Stories that preserve the texture, history, and emotional geography of the Fox Valley.
Not just a publication, a shared room for local voices.
Fox Valley Review is guided by an editorial team committed to thoughtful storytelling, community-centered journalism, and the cultural life of the Fox Valley.
